Stephen Wubbolding is an architectural designer focused on practical, human-scale work, projects that are honest, make sense in their context, and hold up in everyday use.

He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati. His graduate thesis, Staying In: Architecture After Isolation (si-aai), treats the American suburb as an incomplete system and proposes a kit-of-parts approach: small, repeatable structures that can be fabricated, moved, and assembled to support community life. The work centers on clear construction, adaptability, and getting architecture out of drawings and into use.

Stephen earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati, graduating magna cum laude with a certificate in Historic Preservation. His experience includes residential design and urban work in Cincinnati, including projects in Over-the-Rhine.

He is currently working on built and speculative projects that explore new construction, infill, and system-based approaches, focused on making thoughtful architecture achievable without unnecessary complexity.
